The fun thing about interior design these days is that there is inspiration around just about every corner. With phone apps like Pinterest and Instagram, you can instantly snatch some inspiration from people who have similar tastes to yours. For instance, if you are in the process of updating a room in your house, you can find inspiration on these apps to help you narrow down some of your design choices.
One of the trendiest places in the house to decorate right now is the dining room or dining nook. To spruce up your space and make it a place that you love, here are three trends to consider.
1. Rattan Chandelier
One of the hottest trends right now in dining room design is rattan chandeliers. Rattan is a material that is woven out of rattan but it looks similar to wicker. The fun thing about these chandeliers is that they immediately add texture to your dining space and they come in a variety of different styles that can match just about any style. For instance, if your style is bohemian, traditional, beachy, or farmhouse then one of these chandeliers may just do the trick. If you have an especially large dining space, then consider hanging two of these fixtures side by side.
2. Light Wood Tables
Light wood took a hiatus after the 1990s but it is back in business. Although the light wood in the '80s and '90s had a sort of yellow hint to it, the newer and updated light wood has more ashy undertones and looks more like raw wood than. Look for a table from a dining table store that is made out of solid light wood like oak. Depending on your space, you may want to go with either a round table or a rectangle one, but the light wood will make your space look well decorated and modern.
3. Unique Chairs
If you have a long dining room table, then you may want to do 4–6 matching chairs on the long sides of the tables and then two different chairs on either end of the table. This option creates a more eclectic look that will add a designer flair to your space. If you have a round table then you will want to go with chairs that match all the way around. Different styles of chairs to consider are French bistro, Windsor back chairs, Rattan chairs, or woven chairs. To learn more about chairs that will go with your table, visit a dining table store.Share
